Dragon*Con EFForums Track Panels 2012

The 2012 Dragoncon EFForums track schedule is up. I’m working the track again this year, and doing a lot of the sound work, and some video. I’m also down for two panels, (plus 3 more in the Brit Track at present that I’m still waiting for details on) and since the schedule is now out, I can reveal them.

First is a panel with Blair Chintella (of the Chintella Law Firm) discussing the mass bittorrent lawsuits. Blair has defended people in these cases, and he’ll be bringing his expertise to the table. I’ve worked with Blair helping him understand the evidence gathering techniques used in these cases and it should be an interesting panel.

Next is going to be an EFForums first. A livestreaming panel. Holmes Wilson of the Internet Defense League will be joining me via video link from California, where we’ll talk about the internet blackout day back in January in a panel called “Tactical SOPA Strike: How the Web Defended Itself Against Congress”. I believe this is the first time we’ve tried hosting a transcontinental panel, and given the sometimes unpredictable nature of net connections at that hotel, it’ll be ‘interesting’.

So if you’re a reader, and you’re going, doing hesitate to say ‘Hi’. I also *plan* (not set in stone yet) to liveblog the whole convention, so we’ll see how that goes. I could even sign your copy of No Safe Harbor if you want
