The big drop was special-effects heavy Clash of the Titans which, while getting a decent attendance for a normal weekend, failed to woo the majority of attendees, as it languished down in fifth, presumably as the 3D hungry went to see Dragon instead.
Outside the top10, it's diary just ahead of Avatar - 18 weeks on and pulling in roughly a Million from it's 500 screens. The real question is, how will Thursday's (April 22nd) release of the DVD affect it's box office take. The only film to have such a long and successful cinema run was Titanic, which was at number 1 for the first 15 weeks, and didn't drop out of the top10 until week 26. However, the VHS and DVD releases were much later then than now, making a direct comparison hard. Next week will tell how much is 'the Theatre Experience'
